Activities & events

Lots of strange things take place at Roskilde. Some events are held by the audience, but should you at one point feel bored you can be sure that entertainment can be had right round the nearest tent corner.

Peculiar event troupes show up unannounced when you least expect it, and agoras at the camping ground glow from life and unpredicted ideas – funny, weird and thought-provoking. Roskilde Festival never sleeps.

Read the articles below about some of the events which filled this festival with all sorts of colouration.

We will put articles online at a running basis during Roskilde Festival 2009.

Hello food!
Throughout the next three days, Orange Press and the rock chef Chili John will guide you through the festival food jungle. Chili John is a genuine Roskilde Festival veteran. In 1975-1984 he was stage manager at the Rhythm stage, and in 1988-1994 he served his famous chilli for the artists and stage crew behind Arena. Thursday we went hunting for tasty hangover food near your tent. The winner was the tasty morning buns.
Still rocking in 10.000 years
Do you ever wish that Roskilde Festival would continue forever? Now is the time! All you have to do is donate some blod to the artist Kristian Von Hornsleth.
