They played at my favorite venue; the basement of Garage. I was surprised to see that there were over two hundred people there since Nephew is not that popular in Norway.
But after the show they gave us, I am sure they won a lot of Norwegians hearts.

Nephew started the concert with 'Danmark Man Dark' from their latest album 'DanmarkDenmark', the audience cheered and started to dance along. Under the song 'Blå & Black' Simon Kvamm sang "Jump, Jump, Jump Bergen, oh Jump", and the whole audience started jumping. It was amazing to see two hundred fans jumping to the beat with such joy on their faces.

Kvamm was great at communicating with the fans. When he clapped the crowd clapped, "I know you know this clap, it's the Kaizer-clap" he said. We all started clapping the Kaizer-clap, which is when you clap really fast like in the song 'Delikatessen' by Kaizers Orchestra. It was amazing, even though our hands were turning red.

After playing a couple of song, I couldn't help but to dance and jump a long as well. Nephew created a great atmosphere by playing their latest hits and songs from the albums 'Interkom Kom Ind' and 'USADSB'. 
On 'Focus On The Sound' they had a guest with them, the local artist Karin Park. Her voice is really special, but it fit the song and the audience seemed to love it.

It's was unusual listening to songs that had a mix of the English and the Danish language, and melodic rock music with electronica. The whole combination of the genre and the languages ended up to be a great music experience.
Their newest single 'Police Bells & Church Sirens' was the perfect song to end an amazing evening at Garage. I can't wait to experience the same at Roskilde Festival this year.
