SUNDAY 30 JUNE

From climate concern to climate action: Join climate therapy and get tools to address your worries about climate change

  • Sunday 30 June
    13:00, Flokkr

In climate therapy, you can share your concerns, hopes, and dreams for the future climate.

Through a talk and a workshop with Klimapsykologisk Ungdomsforening and tv and podcast host Anna Lin, we confront some of the difficult emotions that may be associated with climate change. The talk will be in Danish.

Together, we create a space where we can share our thoughts and perhaps see new opportunities to turn worry into action. You can be sad, angry, indifferent, disappointed, powerless, or optimistic; all feelings are welcome.

Forecasts for climate, environment, and biodiversity are bleak, and the climate crisis is also a humanitarian crisis that will create hunger and drive people to flee. It can be difficult to handle and navigate. A survey of 10,000 young people aged 16-25 from a total of 10 different countries shows that nearly 60 percent are very concerned or extremely concerned about climate change.

Klimapsykologisk Ungdomsforening and Anna Lin focus on the many emotions and thoughts that may be at play regarding climate concerns – and on how they can serve as a catalyst for hope and action.

Join for a safe conversation about climate change and climate anxiety, be inspired by others' thoughts, and maybe leave feeling a little lighter at heart. You are not alone with your climate concerns!

Klimapsykologisk Ungdomsforening is an organization stemming from The Green Youth Movement. The association's activities include group sessions for climate-concerned youth, climate cafes, and anti-burnout nature weekends for climate activists.

The association is supported by the Tuborg Foundation.

Anna Lin is a TV and podcast host who has participated in a TV programme about solutions to climate change. In February 2024, she received a prize for being a role model focusing on mental well-being.
