Cassie Augusta Jørgensen is a Danish visual artist, dancer, and choreographer who has gained recognition in recent years for her intense and exhilarating performative works that deconstruct the stereotypical representation of women.

Drawing inspiration from sources as diverse as pornography, a Christian moral code, diary excerpts, theater, and film, she has perfected her own brand of showgirl-ship, where seriousness and humor meld in abstract and obscure live performances, gradually building and accelerating in tempo and rhythm.

In 2022, Cassie Augusta graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts with the art work 'The Danish Girl Dick'—a reinterpretation of the story of Danish transgender landscape painter Lilli Elbe. In 2023, she held her first solo exhibition, 'Slit Your Click,' at the art gallery Overgaden in Copenhagen. Cassie Augusta Jørgensen is also trained in modern dance from the Alvin Ailey School of Dance in New York. Today, she lives and works in Berlin.
