It's safe to say that 802 are in a league of their own, and the fledgling Danish band has quickly garnered a lot of attention with a distinctive and hazy mix of ghostly synths, bubblegum hooks, metallic distortion and edgy beats, which they are now ready to bring to Roskilde.

The band's origin story is about as charming and atypical as their sound. Producer and musician Andreas Asingh had an international hip-hop career under the name Slowolf; a career that included collaborations with the Wu-Tang Clan's Raekwon himself. When he moved back to his hometown in Djursland, he got in touch with Andreas Beck and Emil Sørensen - two musicians from the Djursland heavy metal underground.

They quickly hit it off and in 2023 they released their debut single “My Girl”, introducing the world to 802's original mix of dirty noise and excellent melodies. Heavy metal aesthetics meets synthpop in a surprising yet accomplished expression that prompted metal site Metaladay.dk to describe them as "melodic anarchy" during one of the band's captivating concerts.

802 is a refreshing addition to the alternative music scene, and we look forward to a party that unites headbangers and glowing pop hearts when they visit Roskilde.
