Portuguese musician Ana Lua Caiano has burst onto the music scene with a personal sound that simultaneously pioneers new directions for electronic music while digging deep into the folk roots and revolutionary protest songs of her homeland.

Her songs are rooted in the vocal traditions of rural Portugal, where stories of everyday life have been told for generations through songs and canons, whose simple and poignant melodies are given new life in Caiano's lush, multifaceted electronic universe.

In her youth, Caiano studied both classical music and jazz, but inspiration from artists such as Portishead and Björk opened doors for her to develop her own musical language with elements of both experimental electronic music and deep vocal traditions.

After a series of singles, live sessions and notable performances at festivals such as WOMEX and Eurosonic, in 2024 she finally released her debut album that truly unfolds her visionary universe. The album Vou Ficar Neste Quadrado has received excellent reviews in the international music press, and we look forward to hosting the first Danish concert of one of modern Portugal's most interesting musicians.
