Strong and personal songwriting, amazing vocals and richly nuanced productions that embrace soul, jazz, and modern classical music. Danish Astrid Engberg has the whole package and manages to bring together many genres and moods into a cohesive musical expression. 

Critics were impressed, to say the least, when her debut album, Tulpa, landed in 2020. The album featured on Bandcamp Daily's list of the best albums of 2020, and in Denmark, Engberg received awards for best vocal release of the year as well as best producer of the year.  

Expectations were high for the follow-up in 2023, but Engberg delivered on all promises with the beautiful album Trust. The album, created in the wake of the birth of her first child, bubbles with joy, tenderness, and gratitude. With rare musical intuition, Engberg unfolds the songs in organic and playful arrangements that contain both chamber music grace and lush side roads to jazz, pop, and R&B. 

On stage, Engberg conveys the songs with a poetic presence, and she has an amazing ability to gather exciting musicians around her that help make her concerts something very special. A tremendous talent that we look forward to presenting at Roskilde.
