Better Lovers hit the metal scene like a lightning bolt from the blue sky in 2023 with their debut EP, God Made Me An Animal. A few days after its release, the group played their first ever concert, proving that they are also an extremely intense live act.

How could it be any different when the American supergroup consists of veterans from bands like Every Time I Die, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Fit For An Autopsy? If you've followed Every Time I Die, who broke up in 2022, you'll know that the band has been one of the leading forces in the modern metalcore scene. And with Better Lovers, the three former Every Time I Die members Jordan Buckley (guitar), Steve Micciche (bass), and Clayton "Goose" Holyoak (drums) pick up the gauntlet with no yearning for the past, but plenty of hunger for new, hard-hitting adventures.

They continue to demonstrate a solid grasp of the metalcore genre, and in Greg Puciato of the notoriously breakneck band The Dillinger Escape Plan they've found a perfect frontman, while Will Putney's guitar adds new layers of aggression.

God Made Me An Animal is definitely just the beginning for a band that could very well be the next big thing on the metalcore scene, combining brutal intensity with groove, melody and awesome interplay. Roskilde Festival is looking forward to hosting their first Danish visit, which might easily be one of the most hard-hitting experiences of the year.
