Under the name Boko Yout, singer-songwriter Paul Adamah has created his own unique sound, which he has dubbed Afro-grunge.

With catchy hooks, raw songwriting and an oddly fluid mix of alternative rock, hip-hop, soul, dubbed electronica and many other genres, Adamah has conjured up a free space where he can, in his own words, explore themes of masculinity, identity, shame and internalized homophobia.

In his native Sweden, his edgy style has garnered him a lot of attention, not least thanks to the excellent EP As Seen On TV from 2023. Most recently, he has teamed up with Swedish producer boerd to collaborate on the new EP Griot, where the two musical eccentrics delve into a shared love of trip-hop acts like Tricky and Massive Attack.

Performing live with a full band, Boko Yout is known for creating highly engaging concerts where the personal lyrics and quirky musical hybrids are conveyed with great charisma. Something we look forward to experiencing this summer.
