Icekiid has firmly established himself as one of the leading Danish exponents of the fusion of hip hop and Afrobeats. Afro Dansker (meaning Afro Dane) was the name of his debut EP from 2016. A true statement of intent from an artist who has roots in Ghana but grew up in the Copenhagen area.

With innovative beats, strong lyrics and an infectious energy, Icekiid has been firing up dancefloors ever since with his blend of Afrobeats, dancehall and hip-hop, and he has shown a keen sense of the catchy tune with hits such as "ErruDumEllaHvad"', "Jumeirah", "Blondiner & Brunetter" and the football anthem "Gulddans".

There have also been numerous collaborations with other great Danish artists such as Kesi, Tessa and Artigeardit. And in 2022, Icekiid finally released his full-length album, Ingen roser uden torne (no roses without thorns), to great acclaim, showing that he is a reflected artist with many nuances and a touch of melancholy.

However, he has since proven that he can still throw a huge party with a series of strong concerts. Good summer vibes are in the air when Icekiid takes over Roskilde Festival with his big band and a string of danceable Afrobeats bangers.
