In Ida Laurberg, Danish pop has gained a new remarkable voice. This was already clear when, as a teenager, she broke through with a series of English-language songs whose dark and melancholic undertones led critics to compare her to Billie Eilish.

From the very beginning, Laurberg has also been an artist with the courage to move in new directions, and after making a strong mark with English-language songs, she recently embarked on a new chapter as a Danish-language songwriter. Already in 2023, Roskilde Festival saw Laurberg step into character with a strong selection of Danish-language songs at a terrific concert. Likewise, it has been hard to miss hits like "Terrier", "Mellem Mor og Far" and the Andreas Odbjerg collaboration "Jeg Ka' Rigtig Godt Li' Dig", if you listen to Danish radio.

These are songs that combine superb pop craftsmanship and masterful melodies with vulnerability and raw authenticity, but also with a wry, humorous look at life. Qualities that make Laurberg one of the most interesting Danish pop artists right now, and which are really lifted by a stunning vocal.

In 2024, we can look forward to plenty of new and quirky pop from Laurberg, whose long-awaited debut album is on the way. We can't wait to sing along to the new songs when Laurberg returns to Roskilde Festival - this time with a concert on the Orange Stage!
