Kim Gordon is a true musical icon who has bridged the gap between avant-garde and pop culture for over four decades, inspiring generations of musicians with her uncompromising approach.

With the pioneering avant-rock group Sonic Youth, she helped define 80s alternative rock with a sound that combined New York's experimental no wave and post-punk with intelligent songwriting and a melodic pop sensibility, and with the group she pawed the way for 90s noise rock and grunge, not least thanks to an innovative approach to the possibilities of the electric guitar.

After Sonic Youth’s disbandment, Gordon hasn’t been resting on her laurels. On the contrary, the now 70-year-old musician will release her hotly anticipated new album "The Collective," created in collaboration with producer Justin Raisen (Lil Yachty, Charli XCX, Yves Tumor, and more). This collaboration raises high expectations for the legend's appearance at the Roskilde Festival this summer.

The same Raisen was also involved in Kim Gordon's debut album, "No Home Record (2019)," which garnered significant critical acclaim. It demonstrated that Kim Gordon remains steadfast in her experimental and personal approach, proving that she is still razor sharp as she critically examines the times we live in with equal parts noise and pop.
