With their sweaty mix of Anatolian funk, retro-futurism and psychedelic sounds, Istanbul band Lalalar will get you dancing wherever they go. For this reason, they are a match made in heaven for a summer party, and Roskilde Festival will finally get to experience this.

The band made a name for themselves in 2019 with a series of groovy singles, and in 2022, the globally oriented label Bongo Joe finally released the band's stunning debut album Bi Cinnete Bakar, which set many dance-happy hearts on fire at a host of international clubs and festivals that same year. The album also demonstrated the band's ability to deliver ecstatic party music with a raw edge and rebellious energy. 

Lalalar's blend of Anatolian psych, funky beats, post-punk and dub infused electronics, with a was range of references to everything from spaghetti westerns, obscure sci-fi soundtracks, surf and disco, was expanded on 2023's album En Kötü Iyi Olur, which really ignites the desire for trance-inducing dance.

Luckily, Roskilde Festival has your back as we bring Istanbul's groove masters to Denmark. A concert that could very well be one of the biggest parties of the summer!
