The British rave and club culture of the 90s is experiencing quite a renaissance in the hands of a new generation of producers. Nia Archives has quickly emerged as one of the most interesting, with a confident and personal take on jungle and drum'n'bass.

Although Nia Archives is most commonly associated with the renaissance of the jungle genre, her music reflects a wealth of inspirations from neo-soul to Bollywood soundtracks. Her part-Jamaican background, growing up with a stepfather who had a dancehall radio show and helped her start producing her own music, is also reflected in elements of reggae and dancehall.

The result is an irresistible dance party that crosscuts between different genres, but always carries an unmistakable signature and a sense of composition. And since her first single in 2021, she's gone from strength to strength with rave reviews and an avalanche of awards, including a DJ Mag Award for 'breakthrough producer' and an NME Award for 'best producer' in 2022.

In 2023, she released the acclaimed Sunrise Bang Ur Head Against tha Wall EP, proving that she's a rapidly evolving producer and songwriter whom it will be exciting to follow. You'll get a good chance to do so when Nia Archives opens up her world of virtuosic jungle rhythms, bass-heavy dancehall and tender soul vocals at Roskilde Festival.
