Nigerian producer, singer and songwriter Omah Lay has quickly established himself as a hot name on the West African Afropop scene. Since his self-produced single "Bad Influence" went viral in 2020 and became the most streamed track in Nigeria that same year, the young musician has gone from victory to victory, releasing his confident debut album Boy Alone in 2022.

Omah Lay started his career as a rapper in the local hip-hop scene. The legacy of hip-hop plays into his expression as a solo artist, mixing it with catchy pop melodies, Afrobeats and R&B influences to create a relevant and vital expression that shifts from laid-back groovy to danceable.

Omah Lay has also caught on with international audiences and has been highlighted by Apple and the BBC as one of the most exciting new Afropop acts to emerge. He has collaborated with the likes of Justin Bieber and filled concert stages around the world with his infectious fusion of West African traditions and modern pop. A new album is in the pipeline for 2024 when it's also finally Roskilde Festival's turn to dance to the Nigerian star's good vibes.
