Trap and extreme metal in a raw manga-inspired show

Prepare yourself for an extremely intense experience when Scarlxrd takes the stage. The English rapper and songwriter has been hailed as a pioneer in the hybrid genre of trap metal, and the blend of heavy trap beats, aggressive rap and metallic soundscapes combined with elements of electronic club culture has certainly managed to break through the sound barrier.

The musical foundation was already laid when Marius Lucas Antonio Listhrop, as the vocalist of the band Myth City, made a splash on YouTube in 2014 with a mix of nu metal, grindcore and rap. Since he began releasing music under his new alter-ego Scarlxrd in 2016, he has emerged as both a creative and hyper-productive force, releasing 15 albums in less than 10 years, in addition to a number of EPs and collaborations.

In 2019, he was nominated by metal magazine Kerrang! for Best British Breakthrough, and in the same year his track “Purge” was used in the first season of the Euphoria series. Dubbed a "rap-metal overlord" by the NME, Scarlxrd reinforces this reputation through his wild concerts, where his screaming vocals are typically delivered through a signature mask in a show that visually draws inspiration from both the nu metal legends of Slipknot and Japanese manga culture.

Now Scarlxrd is ready to bring his raw and uncompromising trap metal show to Roskilde, where you can prepare yourself for headbanging, mosh pits and dance floors orchestrated by a stellar performer.
