Club Shy is not only the name of British pop phenomenon Shygirl's latest release, which came out in early 2024 to critical acclaim. Club Shy is also an extended live experience that, following the release's reimagining of 90s and 00s club culture, unites Shygirl's sensual pop universe with hedonistic dance culture.
Already in 2022, Shygirl demonstrated her exquisite sense of creating an atmospheric and sweaty pop show with elements of hip hop and experimental electronic music at Roskilde Festival.
That same year, she released her debut album, Nymph, which was followed in 2023 by Nymph_o – at the same time a deluxe version and remix of the debut album that featured collaborations with a host of names such as Tinashe and Erika de Casier, as well as remix contributions from Eartheater and Björk.
While the love of the club and rave has always been present in Shygirl's music, with Club Shy she lets herself be fully immersed in it, and she wants the audience to join her in the club. With her live extension of the concept, she creates a complete club atmosphere at Roskilde Festival with a mix of live concert, DJs and dancers. An extravagant, inclusive and danceable party awaits at Shygirl's very own nightclub.
