STELLA EXPLORER^SE

With her ability to embrace strong pop melodies, dark atmospheres and jazzy arrangements, Stockholm-based Stella Explorer is well on her way to establishing herself as one of the most exciting new voices on the Scandinavian alternative pop scene. 

Already in the experimental pop band Brödet, she showed the ability to combine artistic bravery and catchy melodies, and as a solo artist she has not only garnered accolades in the Swedish music scene - including a Swedish Grammy nomination - she has also attracted international attention with the excellent EPs Dorkay House and Lost Kingdom. 

In early 2024, she finally released her debut album, Absolute Music 2/5. An album that enchantingly guides the listener through a kaleidoscopic musical universe with dark pop ballads, ambient sounds and inspiration from house music. But it also delves into Stella Explorer's South African roots through elements of Afrobeat and the South African jazz her grandfather brought with him when he moved to Sweden in the 1950s. It's both ambitious and captivating, and we can't wait to see Stella Explorer unfold her original songs at Roskilde.
