With the band Syl, the already exuberant Copenhagen hardcore scene comes up with another good argument for throwing yourself into the mosh pit.

The band actually emerged while the live scene was shut down, but nonetheless, their fiery blend of punk, post-hardcore and noise rock is made to reverberate across packed punk basements and festival stages alike. Since finally being unleashed in front of an audience, Syl have long since proven that they can put on an intense show.

The origin story goes that the band came about when two friends Andreas Grønne (drums) and Benjamin Clemens (vocals) woke up after a night of Norwegian punk and Finnish peppermint liqueur and realized that they both had the word SYL tattooed across their chests. They quickly gathered a team of like-minded friends, and their debut album alt godt was released in 2022 to excellent reviews.

Not only is Syl's playing razor-sharp, they also have a striking frontman in Benjamin Clemens, who combines punk aggression with a melodic thread and Danish lyricism that embraces a masculinity with anxiety, fragility and trembling energy. Indulge in Syl's raw energy when they hit Roskilde.
