There's room to dream away in both intimate embraces and grand explosions of sound when Danish indie pop band Yör take the stage.
The ambitions are high for the band, who have created a personal expression where impressionistic songwriting and poetic lyrics go hand in hand with magnificent synth landscapes and gorgeous pop melodies. The band isn't afraid to aim for great beauty, but it's a beauty that doesn't shy away from the fragility and complex layers of emotion that human life also contains.
This makes Yör's music an engaging experience, with a beating heart of deep bass and drums laying an earthbound foundation for raw synth textures and Marie Kildebæk's soaring vocals.
Their debut album, intet så rigtigt, released in the fall of 2023, garnered excellent reviews, and the band's distinctive blend of intimate presence, grandiose emotions and poetic dream worlds also translates on stage, as the band has already demonstrated at several sold-out concerts. Now they're ready to let Roskilde Festival in on their beautiful Scandinavian indie pop.
