ZOUMER^DK

The artist name Zoumer is inspired by the Algerian freedom fighter Lalla Fatma N'Soumer, and with this figure as her guiding star, Danish-Algerian singer and producer Yasmina Derradj creates synth-popped mantras that ooze playfulness and rebellion against conformity. 

We already saw Derradj at last year's Roskilde Festival, where she performed as part of the artist collective Final Planet's epic show. The revolutionary DIY spirit of Final Planet can be found in her own music, as heard on her stunning debut album Green World from 2024. 

Here you'll find danceable beats, acid-green psychedelic moods and hypnotic hyperpop in an experimental and challenging sound universe that is nonetheless incredibly catchy. 

The album release was accompanied by an art exhibition of the same title, and music and visual art very much flow together as a whole in Zoumer’s artistic universe. She brings this unconventional approach to pop to the stage, and we can't wait to experience the songs live this summer.
