ABOUT ROSKILDE FESTIVAL FOOD COURT

Food Court began as an option of world-class festival food for festivalgoers at Roskilde Festival. In total, Food Court has 34 different food options with organic quality food in many varieties. This year, we are expanding with two exciting new restaurant concepts, which will add to the festival’s wide variety of delicious food for festivalgoers.

ABOUT VOLUNTEERING FOR DISMANTLING

When a week of partying and high spirits is over, the Food Court’s dismantling team will go on for a couple more days.

Basically, our mission is to dismantle, collect and pack up the three Food Courts including restaurants for storage, so that next year’s festival will be just as cool and amazing!

The team has many different tasks, including:

  • Dismantling of facade signs, timber constructions and storage facilities
  • Collection and packing of mobile fences, fence tarps, garbage cans, tables and benches and more
  • Packing of Food Court’s own equipment and materials for reuse next year
  • Final cleaning of toilet and dishwashing trailers and collection of trash in the whole area

To keep from getting bored collecting trash for four days, you can rotate between tasks and get a more varied effort.

As one of the 32,000 volunteers that help make Roskilde Festival, you will become part of a unique community that has both passion and energy to put in an effort to make it all possible. We want to sustain that community which is why we always take time to have a beer/soda after every shift, as well as breaks throughout the day, where we can get to know each other.

When does the effort take place?

The effort for Food Court dismantling is a total of 32 hours distributed over four days. We begin after the festival is over on Sunday 7 July from early morning, and we continue through Wednesday 10 July. Of course, if we are extra diligent and finish early we will just go home ;)

No prior festival experience or the like is required – all you need is gumption and willingness to be part of our team in Food Court.

We have a lot to achieve in those four days, and we therefore expect you to appear on time and for all of your shifts.
