FRESHLY BAKED BREAD AND SANDWICHES – BECOME A VOLUNTEER WITH DET GYLDNE BRØD

Do you want to make a difference? If you do, you should sign up as a volunteer in the festival bakery, Det Gyldne Brød (the Golden Bread). Here, we can give you the chance to be part of giving festivalgoers at Roskilde Festival a good experience with freshly baked bread and sandwiches.

Age requirement: 18 at the start of the festival
Language requirement: Danish

We can offer you a great experience with lots of festival friends. You will have access to the festival and to Volunteers’ Village, which is a restricted area where volunteers can meet up and buy various merchandise and food and beverages at reduced prices. In addition, you will also be able to use our lounge in the back area at the bakery, where you can buy beverages at reduced prices. During your shifts, you can eat the bakery’s sandwiches and rolls free of charge. You will also be given a Roskilde Festival t-shirt.

Again this year, we are working with NNF, which is a Danish trade union that focuses on the food production industry. They will be part of creating a pleasant environment for you as a participant. In addition, a huge party is arranged for Saturday 6 July with food and beverages.

Part of the profit from the bakery will support the baker and pastry school through NNF.

The job?

We need people to do ad-hoc work at the counter – making sandwiches – working in the bakery – setting up the stand and sales carts at the festival area.

Like last year, you must work a total of 32 hours, divided on four shifts. You will be assigned 3 categories of shifts: gold, silver and bronze. This means, that you can plan your own shifts within the systems gold, silver and bronze. Gold is before the music days, silver is during the music days and bronze is evening/night shift.

The festival bakery opens on Saturday 29 June at 16:00 and closes on Sunday 7 July.

Interested?

If you are interested, send an email to roskildefestival@detgyldnebrod.dk and we will send you an application form to fill out.

We can’t wait to get started.
