If you belong to the particular group of people who claim that rock is a dying phenomenon, brenn. (yes, that period is supposed to be there) from Norway is the duo who will set fire to such preposterous claims.
They are living proof that rock can be fearless, free-and-easy and colourful.
The Lillehammer-based duo – made up of best buddies Rémy Malchère and Edvard Smith – are currently been busy making a name for themselves in their mother country. They have released a handful of singles. Each and every one of them is a fireball of energy and they have convinced the jury behind Urørt in Norway (a national contest for upcoming acts) to such a degree that brenn. (there’s that period again!) has been nominated for Årets Urørt (talent of the year) at the P3 Gull award show. Much deserved if you ask us!
brenn. handpick their inspirations from various shelves in the indie rock store – if you dig stuff like Pixies, Bob Hund and FIDLAR, brenn. is right up your alley!
When playing live the duo expands to a full band, and they become a fun and spontaneous unit that will leave you out of breath. When we caught brenn. live, we witnessed a band steamrolling over their audience (in the best possible sense of the word) with their energetic stage performance. Perhaps that’s what comes from touring with energetic acts like Honningbarna and Pom Poko.
brenn. are ready to start up a fire at Roskilde Festival. Come catch a spark!
