They have been called Denmark’s pop band number 1. And you certainly understand why when listening to Scarlet Pleasure’s playful, curious and downright infectious pop music. Through the music, the band conjures up dreams of glittery L.A., beautiful women and hedonistic parties, preferably all at once!
The Danish trio, made up of Emil Goll, Joachim Dencker and Alexander Malone, have come a long way since they first started jamming in school as young teens. They have been the most played Danish band on Danish radio, charted with monster hits like “Deja Vu”, “Heat”, “Good Together” and “Limbo” (among others), taken home loads of awards and sold out venue after venue. And some may remember that special afternoon in 2016 when the band conquered Roskilde Festival’s Orange Stage.
Scarlet Pleasure is back for more. They have a new album underway, the follow-up to 2016’s debut Youth Is Wasted On the Young, and they have recently released the wonderful rasta-flavoured single “Superpower”. It bodes well for more summer vibes and feel-good tunes.
Scarlet Pleasure are on fire on a stage. They bring the party, and they do so with the best of inspirations from groovy 80s pop, sexy 90s R&B and some laidback-yet-rocking Jamaican vibes from time to time. And, of course, lots of palm trees and neon lights, taking us to whatever dreamy destination we feel like.
