A new campaign against ticket scalping was launched today. Roskilde Festival is part of it along with the Danish Ministry of Culture, ticket vendors, concert venues, festivals and many others.
More and more often music lovers are being tricked by unofficial ticket providers on the internet. Unofficial websites use stressful countdowns and other deceiving methods in order to mislead consumers and trick them into making impulsive and overpriced purchases of fake or overpriced tickets.
The campaign suggests three main pieces of advice to cope with issues in the battle against illegal ticket sales. Their purpose is to guide consumers safely through the process of purchasing a ticket.
The partners behind the campaign are The Danish Ministry of Culture, Roskilde Festival, NorthSide, Tinderbox, Down the Drain Concerts, Billetlugen, Smukfest, Spillestedet VEGA, Danske Koncert- og Kulturhuse, Dansk Live, Musik i Lejet, DR Koncerthuset, Forbrugerrådet Tænk, YourTicket and Billetsalg.dk ApS.
