Are you an aspiring circus performer? Then give it your best at three workshops hosted by the association Innercirq.

Get some Contemporary Circus skills

It takes a lot to make Contemporary Circus shows but not quite as much to learn a few tricks so you can impress your camp mates. At the festival, you can get some Contemporary Circus skills. So enter the ring at Expression where you can take on disciplines such as juggling, couples’ and air acrobatics.

All three workshops have experienced and skilled instructors from the association Innercirq who can help you in the trapeze, with the juggling balls or in finding a strong partner for couple’s acrobatics.

How to participate

Show up at Agora M – Expression and join in.

There are workshops from Monday to Wednesday in the warm-up period according to the schedule below. The only requirement is that you are sober – and a certain physique so you can carry out the activities.

Monday:
At 12: air acrobatics + couple's acrobatics
At 13: air acrobatics + couple's acrobatics
At 14: air acrobatics + couple's acrobatics
At 15: air acrobatics + juggling
At 16: air acrobatics + juggling

Tuesday:
At 12: air acrobatics + juggling
At 13: air acrobatics + juggling
At 14: air acrobatics + juggling
At 15: air acrobatics + couple's acrobatics
At 16: air acrobatics + couple's acrobatics

Wednesday:
At 12: air acrobatics + couple's acrobatics

Three nights in Contemporary Circus

Experience some of some of Denmark’s best Contemporary Circus performers in a cabaret developed especially for Roskilde Festival.

The program for the evening shows is as follows:

Onsdag:

Among the performing artists are:

Lars Gregersen
Speciality: slack wire, handstand, Chinese pole

Camilla Becker Madsen
Speciality: Trapeze and rope

Jens Sigsgaard
Speciality: juggling, object manipulation, dancing

Signe Anderskov
Speciality: handstand, music

Samuel Gustavsson
Speciality: juggling, performance, dancing, acting

Marek Magierecki
Speciality: juggling, floor acrobatics, clown, fakir

In addition, there will be performers from the circus school AFUK, when the academy’s second and third-year students present their show. In total, 20 artists will perform acts in swing trapeze, straps, juggling, couple’s acrobatics, Chinese pole etc.

Perform at Roskilde Festival

Can you move people to tears on the banjo? Do you make clothes that can inspire others? Or do you have other talents that you want to show the world? We then welcome you on Roskilde Festival’s open stage.

How to participate

Do you have a talent that you would like to show the world or has your camp already planned some activities that deserve stage time, then send an e-mail to expression@roskilde-festival.dk.

When we are a little closer to the festival, we will pick out the funniest, the most provocative, anarchistic or innovative performers and make a programme for the stage.
