Lots of European clubs have already started treating their guests with the Balkan mixture of wind instruments, fast tempi, Slivovitz and elegantly twisted minor scales.

German Shantel is one of the front-runners in this development. He came up with the idea of creating his own East European club sound after experiencing shows with Fanfare Ciocarlia and Boban Markovic.

Soon his DJ set called Bucovina Club came into life. The Balkans had suddenly kicked the door in to the European clubs where the sprouting wedding music was mixed with house and techno.

With Bucovina Club Orkestar, Shantel draws on his experiences from the club scene. He is now the front man in an eight man strong and vivacious orchestra. The multi-coloured club party is far from over but rides on into broad daylight.
