Camping can be defined as the noble art of doing absolutely nothing – in a meaningful, entertaining way, of course.
Every year, festival veterans will take noobs under their wings and tell them the secrets behing the non-exhausting games and activities that are shared every year by a crowd of over 100,000 people.
Except this year, of course, which is why we will provide you with guides and manuals to some of the most popular activities from the Roskilde Festival campsite. Or maybe it’s time for a new game, which you will create?
If you buy in to the concept that clothes make the man or woman or indeed event, you’ll get a sneak peek of the official Roskilde Collection 2021.
To get you all dressed up for the DIY party, we’re pre-launching a few items from the #RF50 merchandise collection, including T-shirts, hoodies, caps and socks.

Together with the sustainable clothing brand (di)vision we want to breathe new life into our old crew T-shirts.
Choose two favourite T-shirts from past years and (di)vision will create a unique and new look by putting them together in a cool split design. For every T-shirt sold, DKK 80 will be donated to initiatives benefiting children and young people.

Music is an essential part of every camp, and what better way to play your favourite tracks than on the new limited edition Roskilde Festival Soundboks. For every Soundboks unit sold, DKK 600 will be donated to initiatives benefiting children and young people.

Who/what headlines your festival? That’s entirely up to you. We’ve prepared a poster template – your job is to type/draw up what’s happening. Make it shine! And remember to share your poster design with us on Instagram by using the hashtag #rf20

An essential part of the festival is the games on the campsite. Every camp has its own creative rituals which make their festival experience special.
Beer bowling is very popular on the campsite, and if you want to play beer bowling at your DIY party on 4 July, Danish Beer Bowling Union (DØBU) has written down the official rules for the “sport” here (only in Danish). The rules may not mention this but you can also play while having something non-alcoholic.
Of course, there are many other terrific games out there and we encourage everyone to share their favourite games and rules on social media using #RF20.
Hot drinks are often not a choice but a consequence of camping life. Fortunately, it doesn't have to be so.
Samvirke has made the perfect guide on how to either expand your refrigerator capacity or make one from scratch. All you need is time and a shovel. See here (in danish).
