A clash of art forms: Contemporary dance meets noise rock in a special set-up with Corpus, a dance company from the Danish Royal Ballet. Baby in Vain delivers the music.

Can you dance to noise? Can you rock out to dance?

Those are central questions in this unique set-up with Danish noise rockers Baby in Vain and dancers from Corpus, a form-challenging company from the Royal Danish Ballet.

In the words of Blendtec, will it blend? Of course it will. In fact, it will merge. Moreover, it will open all your senses to the clashes of art forms and create something new and special.

In this show we celebrate the power of combining live dance and live music. It will be something you have never seen before (unless you’ve been to one of the shows in May in ‘A-salen’ at the Royal Theatre – look here)!

The show is called “The Real Raw”. It mixes the delicate with the tough. It shows how you can actually dance to the distorted, rough-hewn alternative rock from critically-acclaimed Baby in Vain, and it shows how you can be moved and rock out together with the Corpus dancers. Together, they will turn the Gloria stage into a ritual place for celebration, imagination and emotion.

Choreographer Kristin Ryg Helgebostad has built a fantastic world for you to step into. Be aware that we have a limited capacity inside the black box of Gloria, so don’t be late. You don’t want to miss this!
