The Copenhagen techno scene has blossomed over the past few years. It’s not just a reinvention, it’s something new entirely. At the very centre you will find Fast Forward, known for fast techno in the early morning hours.
In fact, they’re known for their raves to the extent that they call themselves a “rave production company”. They’re also, however, an artist agency, representing some of the best DJ’s in town. Four of them will grace Roskilde Festival in the new Ambereum (between Art Zone and the Arena stage) for a five-hour set guaranteed to leave you sweaty and satisfied.
Fast Forward dates back to 2015 and is run by longtime friends Lukas Højlund, Anders Marc and Nikolaj Jakobsen. The latter is better known as Sugar and is one of the four DJ’s set to play Roskilde Festival. His sound encapsulates the spirit of Fast Forward: fast, groovy, melodic and pounding.
Both Ezy and DJ Tool have a history in the punk scene but have now turned to electronic music. Ezy is co-founder of and resident at Endurance in Copenhagen, and DJ Tool is co-founder of and resident at Mala Junta in Berlin. The last of the four, Ida Engelhardt, is known for mixing hard techno, hard trance and hardcore. Combined, this will be a night of fast techno you won’t forget.
