One of indie’s emerging guitar-pop mavens

Linn Koch-Emmery is Sweden’s new indie star who delivers boisterous guitar hooks and soaring choruses.

The 26-year-old musician is really drawing attention to her name. When she played at the MUSEXPO in Los Angeles, renowned music executive Seymour Stein called her the best artist at the festival. She has toured both Mexico and the US, supported Johnossi on their European tour and played with Pussy Riot. In other words, Linn Koch-Emmery keeps busy.

So far, she’s released two EPs – Boys (2017) and Waves (2018). Both are full of crunchy guitar pop songs with enough bite and melody to catch on to everybody who listens. They read like a young woman’s journal and her grappling with the pitfalls of life and love.

“There is a star in every black hole,” she sings in the anthemic “Waves”. Linn Koch-Emmery is without a doubt a star-to-be.

Catch her on the Rising stage at Roskilde Festival 2019.
