WU-TANG CLAN PLAYS INSTEAD OF CHANCE THE RAPPER ON ORANGE STAGE

PUBLISHED FRIDAY 21.6.2019

Unfortunately, Chance the Rapper has to cancel his performance at this year's Roskilde Festival. Instead, we have asked legendary hip-hop revolutionaries Wu-Tang Clan to play their first concert at the festival in 15 years.

Chance the Rapper has informed Roskilde Festival that he is unable to play the scheduled concert on Orange Stage on Friday 5 July at this year’s Roskilde Festival.

At the eleventh hour, we have managed to persuade American hip-hop legends Wu-Tang Clan to prolong their tour and make a comeback at the festival, which they last played in 2004.

25 years of hip-hop influence
The Wu-Tang Clan crashed into hip-hop history in 1993 with the trailblazing debut Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers, mixing aggressive rawness with superhero-inspired takes on martial-arts movies and the art of war.

Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, RZA, GZA and the rest of the gang have over the years collaborated on seven albums, several of which are certified multiple platinum.

Their influence on the past 25 years of hip-hop history is indisputable, which they will demonstrate on Orange Stage on Friday 5 July.
