Pop hitters report more than ready to meet their fans live

We don’t have to wait any longer.

Jung was one of the names we had in the Roskilde Festival line-up back in 2020. As we all know, that didn't happen. Fortunately, the band has agreed to perform at Summer Days in 2021.

Jung has grown big with lightning speed. They have become a household name thanks to the tune ”Jeg skal nok vente” (‘I will wait’). They know just how to capture the magic of a pop song with stylish nods to an 80s aesthetic and with an ear for melody. The single went straight to the hearts of Danish music lovers across generations.

The 2020 debut album Blitz contained even more keyboard-shimmering pop songs, and it reaped lots of star-studded reviews, and the sales quickly generated a gold record.

Back in March, the band cleared the table at GAFFA-Prisen (award show hosted by the biggest national music magazine) with five awards, including 'Danish band of the year' and 'Danish hit of the year' for the song ”Blitz, baby” – a clear indication of the general Danish fondness of the band.

However, a pandemic brought the band's winning streak to a standstill. Jung had prepped a longer tour where they were to present their songs to an ever-growing live audience all over the country.

Instead, the band has spent time writing new songs, and so far we’ve been treated with two new singles: ”To timer i træk” (‘two hours straight’) og ”Tur retur” (‘there and back again’).

When Jung steps onto the stage for Summer Days, it's a hungry band that will meet an equally hungry audience. Let's hope the music will satisfy.

Jung will play Summer Days on 4 July alongside Reveal Party and Brimheim.
