Lamin Fofana will perform in Ambereum (read about the performance space)
Lamin Fofana’s black softcore noise music is about the glue that keeps us together beyond time and space.
With A Scattering of Spiral and Elliptical Galaxies, Fofana has created an electronic soundscape with a smooth sonic sound that will open you up to the big universe you are part of.
Fofana speaks with and through soundscapes and electronic music. When composing music, he remixes with quotations from the Afro-American political history, old-school soul or an a cappella choir.
A Scattering of Spiral and Elliptical Galaxies is a live enactment of an ever-mutating soundscape about healing and accepting the consequences of diaspora movements, racism and creating new relations beyond.
Sierra Leonean artist and music producer Lamin Fofana lives and works in Berlin. Fofana’s instrumental electronic music contrasts the reality of our world and explores questions of movement, migration, alienation, and belonging. Lamin’s interests in history and contemporary circumstances combined with his practice of transmuting text into sound results in multi-sensory live performances and installations featuring original music compositions, field recordings and archival material.
