BIG EXHIBITION CELEBRATES THE EXISTENCE OF ROSKILDE FESTIVAL FOR HALF A CENTURY

PUBLISHED WEDNESDAY 21.4.2021

The museum Ragnarock in Roskilde has made a brand-new exhibition dedicated to Roskilde Festival. It is open from 21 April 2021.

2021 marks the 50th year that Roskilde Festival has been around for generations of music-loving youngsters.

Ragnarock – the museum for rock, pop and youth culture, based in Roskilde – celebrates this anniversary with a big exhibition about Roskilde Festival.

The exhibition opens on 21 April 2021.

The exhibition is full of elements that you know from Roskilde Festival

The story of Roskilde Festival is told through the festival-goers' experiences – the museum has made them the true headliners of the festival.

The stories are told in three main zones, dedicated to festival life, music and volunteering. In addition, the exhibition has a special room dedicated to the accident in 2000 when nine young men lost their lives during Pearl Jam's concert on the Orange Stage.

Drop by Ragnarock and get a taste of Roskilde Festival. It is perhaps much needed in a time marked by the absence of festivals.
