ROSKILDE FESTIVAL'S COMMUNITY CENTRE CALLED FLOKKR HEADS OUT ON TOUR

PUBLISHED TUESDAY 17.8.2021

The first stop is a democratic festival where activism is on the programme.

If you have been to Roskilde Festival, you may have come across Flokkr.

It is our small community centre – located in the campsite – which hosts debates, talks and smaller events, often organised in collaboration with NGOs working for a better world.

Now, the community centre heads out on tour.

Flokkr aims to be visible all around Denmark. You will find it in places where we can be a part of setting an agenda and make room for great debates in the name of art and activism.

The first stop on the tour will be on the Danish island of Møn where we will play an active part of the democratic festival Folkemøde Møn which takes place 20-21 August.

Activism is on the agenda here. We are part of the programme on Friday 20 August at noon. For this occasion, we have invited Mathis Kærn Berggreen and Ingrid Hejslet from The Green Student Movement to give speeches. In addition, Extinction Rebellion will create a workshop to awaken your inner activist.

Folkemøde Møn is just the first stop of several for Flokkr. The plan is that the community centre will head out on tour and thus be included as a venue in places where debates are taking place and where art and activism are on the agenda.

Maybe we’ll see you out there!
