THOM YORKE TOMORROW'S MODERN BOXES WON’T PLAY AT ROSKILDE FESTIVAL AFTER ALL

PUBLISHED FRIDAY 26.2.2021

The band has cancelled its full tour and will therefore not come to Denmark.

Unfortunately, it will not be possible to experience the electronic soundscapes of British musician Thom Yorke at Roskilde Festival this summer. He was scheduled to perform with his band on Friday 2 July but has now cancelled his entire tour.

Roskilde Festival's head of programme, Anders Wahrén, says:

"This week’s covid forecast from the UK government means that Thom Yorke Tomorrow's Modern Boxes will have to cancel their tour. Unfortunately, this means that they will not play Roskilde Festival."

The corona restrictions are different across Europe, and it can affect the programming of this year's Roskilde Festival if festivals in other countries are forced to cancel and tours cannot be carried through.

Roskilde Festival's head of programme, Anders Wahrén, says:

"With the uncertain times we are in, it is not unlikely that we will see more artists who cannot carry through their European tours. Since much of our planning still needs to be adapted to the upcoming announcements from the Danish authorities, we also expect that the final programme for this year's festival will be complete later than usual. We know that the artists are ready out there, and as soon as things open up, they're just as eager to come out to play and meet their audience as we are to arrange a festival."
