WE CELEBRATE DIVERSITY WITH AN EVENTFUL PRIDE DAY AT THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF DENMARK

PUBLISHED TUESDAY 20.7.2021

Roskilde Festival is one of the forces behind a rich programme in the name of love and gender diversity. We present music, tours, debates, speeches, workshops and performance. Mark 12 August in your calendar.

On the occasion of WorldPride and EuroGames 2021, we invite you to an eventful evening under the title ‘Queer, gender and love’. It takes place on 12 August between 17:00 and 21:00. Roskilde Festival teams up with the National Museum of Denmark and Radio LOUD on a mission to define gender and ourselves as individuals.

Through music, tours, debates, speeches, workshops and performances, we focus on the cultural history of sexuality and mix it up with new voices and inputs that take on the ideas and conventions of the past.

You can experience, among many other things, writer Mads Ananda Lodahl (Sauna, 2021), performance artist Moeisha Ali Aden, drag performer and accordionist Adam Christensen, drag queen Mizz Privileze and a live version of the Roskilde Festival-presented Radio LOUD programme Forstærket.

You can also join a tour through the museum's collections where we will both kill and confirm the myth of Denmark as the home of equality and broad-mindedness, and we will travel into the Cosplayers' world of fluid sexuality and fictional universes.
