This is the time to shine for Baby Keem.
The past few years, he’s been showing lots of raw promise. This rising star has turned some heads with a standout feature on Kanye West’s DONDA and even more so when he teamed up with his cousin Kendrick Lamar on the double GRAMMY-nominated (best rap song and rap performance) track “family ties”.
The California-born, Las Vegas-raised 21-year-old has been busy working his way up to this point.
He’s produced songs for Schoolboy Q, the Black Panther soundtrack and Beyoncé and rubbed shoulders with the likes of Polo G, Lil Tjay and 24kGoldn on the 2020 XXL Freshman list.
He’s achieved a breakout viral hit with “Orange Soda”, an infectious highlight from his Die for My Bitch mixtape (2019).
And in 2021, he released his debut studio full length The Melodic Blue where he shows what all the hype has been about. The album includes “family ties”. Another standout track is “range brothers” which features three beat switches along the way. Generally, Baby Keem morphs between modes, moods and styles – and you never quite know where he will go next. According to one review, this album really shows that “Baby Keem is marked for greatness”.
When he’s on stage he invokes a great energy in people. In a recent concert in Detroit, his crowd jumped so much up and down they almost broke through the floor! There’ll be plenty of jumping, shouting and energy when Baby Keem will play Roskilde Festival.
Want a bit of feel good energy? Here you go.
