Hari Shankar Kishore works in a mixed field of music, visual arts and performance.

For the past 15 years, Hari Shankar Kishore aka WHAT has been active in the music scene with numerous boundary-pushing projects (Albertslund Terror Korps, Kid Kishore, Syg Nok, Kommunal Dubplate Service).

In 2022, he started the record label ULLLU as a platform for future releases.

First release was the album Notice a Tiny Scratch for the Blue Behind, which is a collaboration with singer Abdullah Miniawy.

HVAD's work as a vinyl cutting technician shines through in his compositions and live shows. WHAT plays older Indian instruments like esraj, tanpura, tabla and modern electronics, which are manipulated. The original recordings are cut on dubplates and are one of the main instruments in the studio and on stage.

HVAD's music is an inner cyclone, propulsive and mesmerising.
