Gorgeous bedroom pop from massive talent

Mina Okabe was born and raised in London, her biological roots are Danish-Japanese and she and her family have lived all over the globe in different cities, soaking up life and culture – from New York to Manila. Mina has lived in Denmark for the past five years. She feels at home here, and it is from here that she will seek out – now with her music in the backpack. 

Mina Okabe is a new, exciting talent in the Danish music scene.

The 22-year-old singer is as modest and humble about her music as her dreams and ambitions are big and boundless.

The whole world has been her playground and a source of inspiration for her music. And perhaps for that very reason, Mina Okabe sounds like anything but Danish.

In 2021, she released the debut album Better Days which has reaped stellar reviews (just look here and here– in Danish). The album has spawned several hits, including "I'm Done" and "Walk Away".

In a matter of short time, Mina Okabe has played her way into the premiere league of Danish pop music. Catch her on the journey when she performs on the Countdown stage at Roskilde Festival 2022.
