A hypnotic blend of tunes that turn into something beautiful and strange

Perera Elsewhere is a solo project of the London-born, Berlin-based artist Sasha Perera who is known for her big voice and who helped to establish a foundation of grime and dubstep in Berlin with her series of Grimetime parties and radio show years back.

Reinterpreting driving songs from her releases, Perera will present music she has made specifically for the purpose of live performance.

This music juggles between the intimate, epic and apocalyptic. Polyrhythmic elements fuse with mutating vocals, partly improvised in real-time together with her band members Toto Wolf (drums) and Oren Gerlitz (bass/synth).

Using everything from gritty, indigenous sounds to her own warped vocals or trumpet, oscillating synths or dread-heavy basses, she and her band will create a live soundscape to house her songs. Eerie ambient- blues, psychedelic noise pop and UK bass-core somehow seamlessly co-exist on stage in the land of ‘elsewhere'.
