Roskilde Festival has joined forces with The Green Youth Movement, Fridays For Future, LGBT + Danmark and UngEnergi. Together, the four organisations have prepared lots of different content based on their different activist works. They all share a community of action where music, art and creative expression are the catalyst for commitment.
All this will unfold both on our Flokkr stage and on the campsite in the first days of the festival. After this, the project will head out on a small tour with stops at Folkemøde Møn (19-20 August 2022), Ungdommens Folkemøde (7-8 September 2022) and GRASP (6-8 October 2022).
Climate first-aid workshop
UngEnergy will hold a Climate First-Aid Workshop where the festival goers will be taken on a journey through a variety of experiences and thoughts related to climate dilemmas, in order to become wiser and get guidance to how you can deal with climate crisis and climate challenges in your everyday life.
Hopefully, the workshop will create a feeling of community spirit and solidarity with others. Through different kinds of interactive formats, the festival goers get an opportunity to discuss and reflect on climate dilemmas, climate thoughts and climate doubt with each other and with members of YoungEnergy. At the end, we will send positive thoughts to the future and share our climate hopes.
Climate first-aid carts
With three green handcarts, UngEnergy will move about on the campsite, practicing climate first aid in the festival goers’ camps. The handcarts contain a toolbox with all sorts of reparation gear – for instance sewing gear, sustainable duct tape and screws – which the volunteers of UngEnergy will use to fix anything from punctured airbeds and sweaters full of holes to tent poles and camping chairs.
Beyond this you can try to spin the handcarts colorful wheel of fortune, or you can clean your camp by using the handcarts installed garbage sorting system. UnEnergy will of course bring garbage grabbers so even the yukkiest cans of mackerel can be removed.
About UngEnergi
UngEnergi works to engage young people for a sustainable world. We work with young-to-young communication and focus on positive alternatives rather than raising a warning finger and with a focus on concrete advice and actions. We want to inspire young people to make the sustainable choice where life is at least as fun as with the alternatives. We would also like to have everyone involved by meeting other young people at eye level, wherever they are.
