ROSKILDE FESTIVAL IS BACK! WE’RE KICKING OFF FESTIVAL NO. 50 WITH 23 FANTASTIC MUSIC ACTS AND AN EXTRA TICKET SALE FOR YOUNG PEOPLE

PUBLISHED TUESDAY 12.10.2021

Experiences
This summer, you can look forward to experiencing British pop queen Dua Lipa, star rapper Tyler, The Creator, pop-rock sisters HAIM and musical chameleon St. Vincent. Among many others. We also put our last tickets up for sale and create a new ticket type specifically aimed for the young under 25 years of age.

Let's do this! We're kicking off Roskilde Festival no. 50!

In this first announcement we present 23 fresh and exciting acts. We also pay some special attention to our young festival-goers. This means that we’re putting extra tickets up for sale, exclusively for the under-25s. Read more about all that below.

But first – the music.

Dua Lipa

An audience with a true queen of pop

Dua Lipa has been touted everywhere as the new queen of pop. When the world locked down in the spring of 2020, her latest album, Future Nostalgia, was released. Bad timing, you'd think. But the record ended up as a global soundtrack in a closed world, and spectacular hit singles like "Don't Start Now," "Break My Heart" and "Levitating" catapulted the 26-year-old star into the absolute top of the global pop league.

Dua Lipa made her debut on our Orange Stage in 2018 with her infectious pop performance. In 2022, she returns bigger than ever and invites you to a life-affirming party that no pop fan would want to miss out on.

Tyler, The Creator

More headliners

Roskilde Festival 2022 will also feature the adventurous American multi-artist and star rapper Tyler, The Creator, the three pop-rock sisters in HAIM and the musical chameleon St. Vincent who has reinvented herself again with new musical expressions and alter egos.

Debutants and international appeal

The 21-year-old award-winning talent Arlo Parks and R&B sensation Erika de Casier are among the younger and debuting artists in the line-up, who have taken their first career steps in the midst of a pandemic – and now they can finally meet the world's best audience, the Roskilde audience!

We feel a huge longing from all artists. They want to be out on the stages playing to live audiences again. At the same time, we are doing our utmost to deliver three years of development in one festival. Expect our festival number 50 to be a very special return to a new era. We all need that!

Now we’re putting the refunded tickets up for sale

Only 5000 of the 80,000 tickets sold were refunded after the cancellation of Roskilde Festival 2021. We need to get those tickets in the hands of a bunch of festival-starving people. On Thursday 14 October, we’re putting the 5000 tickets for sale. We first offer the tickets to those on our waiting list at 11:00, then in an open sale at 12:00 (unless we’re sold out). If you want to get on the waiting list, you can sign up here before Wednesday at 23:59:

We’re also having an extra sale aimed at young people

With two consecutive cancelled festivals, two years of festival first-timers have missed out on the opportunity to attend Roskilde Festival. Our numbers show that 80 % of our first-timers at Roskilde are under 25 years of age. Therefore, we’re earmarking an additional 5000 tickets for young people under the age of 25 (more specifically, you must be born after 3 July 1997), so that our festival can remain a place where young people can enjoy the special Roskilde community. It’s extra important in dire times like the present. The ticket price will be the same as normal Full Festival Tickets and will be available for purchase on 30 November at 12:00. Maybe you have some detailed questions about this initiative. We have tried to answer them in our ticket news article.
