New performance zooms in on the construction of emotions and identity in contemporary media and pop culture
Daria Blum is both a visual artist, dancer and musician. At this year's festival she combines it all in a new live performance at Platform.
It will be both humorous and serious, awkward, and seductive, when the Swiss artist performs at the festival’s venue for boundary-pushing hybrid art.
Using video projections, hyper pop, melodic ballads, lights, dance, costumes and stereotypical characters, Daria Blum creates a tightly choreographed and intense inferno where emotions are enlarged, examined, and exposed.
She is especially interested in how emotions and identity are constructed, described, and expressed in contemporary media and pop culture.
Daria Blum lives and works in London. This summer she will graduate from the Royal Academy Schools.
