Raw emotions and excellent songwriting from acclaimed American musician
North Carolina-based songwriter Indigo De Souza gained massive attention when she released her album “Any Shape You Take” on renowned indie label Saddle Creek in 2021. The album saw her combining fragile songwriting with unpolished alternative rock in a series of strong tracks dealing with complex emotions and human relations. The album was widely praised by outlets like New York Times and Line of Best Fit, and it was followed by a string of successful shows.
Now Indigo De Souza is ready for Roskilde Festival and the timing couldn’t be much better, as she will release her brand-new album “All Of This Will End” a few months before the festival. The album has already been teased by the first single “Younger and Dumber”, featured as Best New Track on Pitchfork and demonstrating an almost country-tinged side of De Souza.
First and foremost, it demonstrates that she is still one hell of a songwriter. She has also already shown the world that she is a brilliant live performer, establishing an intimate connection with the audience and delivering the raw emotional content of her songs with great impact, leaving no one untouched. There’s good reason to look forward to her new album – and certainly good reason to look forward to hearing the fresh songs live at Roskilde!
