Two great artistic talents join forces in an intense and sensual queer performance

The acclaimed visual artist and choreographer Jules Fischer and the award-winning cellist and composer Josephine Opsahl present their performance It doesn’t look like anything to me at Platform.

Four performers and a cellist participate in the performance that creates an intimate and sensual space, playing with the ambivalent and indecipherable. It doesn’t look like anything to me examines how masculinity can embrace vulnerability and compassion and create communities that challenge hierarchies and power structures.

The title refers to the sci-fi series Westworld where the phrase is used by main characters as a fail-safe response to encounters which make them question their otherwise established perception of reality.

Josephine Opsahl is known to create extremely intense and curious compositions and performances, pushing the boundaries for classical music. She is educated at The Royal Danish Academy of Music and has received several awards, most recently she was honored with The Crown Prince Couple’s Cultural Stardust Award.

Jules Fischer is educated from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts and has also studied dance and choreography at The Danish National School of Performing Arts. In collaboration with dancers and performers Jules Fischer has created artwork for a number of great art galleries and in 2022 Jules Fischer was selected by the Danish Arts Foundation for the two-year development program The Young Artistic Elite.
