Festival life

Prepare yourself to be blown away by the irrefutable charm of Blæst. The Danish pop group will be the first act to perform on our iconic Orange Stage this year, and they promise to bring something special to the show

When Blæst played their first Roskilde Festival concert here in 2022, they were still newcomers, playing the talent stage Rising. That didn’t stop them from nearly sweeping the entire camping site as they delivered an unforgettable – and almost mythical – performance which made one thing perfectly clear: This band is about to become huge!

Well, this year everyone gets the chance to be swooped by Blæst’s irresistible charm and catchy pop melodies full of everyday poetry as the four-piece will open our iconic Orange Stage.

For many, the opening of the Orange Stage is the first major, communal gathering point at Roskilde Festival, and this event traditionally attracts a lot of attention. Blæst is more than ready to create a euphoric party, and they promise to bring us something spectacular.

To be able to mount Northern Europe’s biggest stage is huge! That is why we have to take our live show to a whole other level. We are well-prepared and aim to give the crowd a little more than what they came for.

A few months after their first Roskilde concert, Blæst released the EP "Stiv Kuling", which really grabbed the audience and critics alike with a charming sound, in which the bright melodies, precise productions and poetic catchy tunes were reminiscent of the Danish pop icons of the 80s and 90s.

Much has been written in the Danish press about their subsequent retirement, when stress forced the band to cancel a major tour. But not even the stiffest of headwinds can stop Blæst, who are now back. At the start of the year, they released the single "All In", demonstrating that they still have a fantastic grasp of the great Danish pop song, where tight and funky rhythms play against airy and sweet melodies, elegantly lifted by Fernanda Rosa's charismatic vocals.

It's the soundtrack to a roaring summer love affair, and a euphoric party awaits when Blæst plays this year's opening concert at Orange Scene.
