Due to tragic circumstances, The Po’ Ramblin’ Boys will not appear at Roskilde Friday. They send us all this message:
“We are staying home due to the unexpected death of someone we all loved dearly. We hope our friends and fans understand and we look forward to seeing you again soon.”
Bru-C, who was also due to play at the festival on Friday, has also had to cancel his show due to personal reasons. He sends us this message:
“We are really sorry to any fans who have made arrangements to see him and we hope to be back at the festival next year.”
Instead, we’re happy to announce Hialøsa and Plaid as their replacements.
Hialøsa
Hialøsa reinterprets and creates new understandings of the Skåne folklore with a national-romantic approach full of foot stomping, hand clapping, violin and double bass. Their debut album, “Scanian very old pop”, only came out in April, but Hialøsa has quickly reached an international audience.
UK electronica veterans Plaid return to Roskilde Festival almost 20 years after their most recent visit to our festival. Formed in the early 90s, the duo consisting of Ed Handley and Andy Turner released their 11th album in 2022, “Feorm Falorx”, restating their title as machine-funk masters with a sound that is simultaneously retro-futuristic and forward-thinking.
